Leicestershire, United Kingdom -- November 8th,
2007 - Intercede, a leading developer of identity credential management
systems, today announced that it has joined the Oracle Extended
Identity Management Ecosystem. Both Intercede's and Oracle's customers
can take advantage of the benefits provided by Intercede's MyID®
identity credential management software integration to Oracle®
Identity Manager, an offering within Oracle Identity Management.
This combination provides joint customers with a single solution
that easily and effortlessly provisions user accounts into multiple
systems and manages the lifecycle of identities, identity credentials
and devices such as smart cards, USB tokens and One Time Password
(OTP) tokens. These identity devices can then be used by employees
to access both physical and logical resources.
MyID is a leading
smart card and identity credential management system that enables
Corporate, Financial, Government, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and
Educational organizations to efficiently enroll, quickly issue and
effortlessly manage the lifecycle of smart cards, USB authentication
devices, biometrics and other identity credentials. MyID is already
integrated with most identity technologies and systems 'out-of-the-box'
so that any organization can immediately start issuing smart cards
and smart card-based devices that can be used for identification
and access control. MyID is certified
by the US Federal Government General Services Administration (GSA)
and is an approved Federal Identity Processing Standard 201 (FIPS
201) product for the issuance and management of Personal Identity
Verification (PIV) cards.
"Intercede's MyID
identity credential management system perfectly complements Oracle
Identity Manager," said Richard Parris, Chairman and Chief
Executive of Intercede. "Increasingly customers are looking
for an identity management solution that combines both account provisioning
and identity credential management. MyID,
in conjunction with Oracle Identity Manager, solves this problem
today, providing customers with an easy to deploy, manage, and use
solution that ultimately helps them save money, increase their security
and comply with regulations."
The Oracle Extended Identity Management Ecosystem
and Reference Architecture delivers integrations that make it easier
for organizations to unify siloed security technologies into a comprehensive,
standards-based identity management framework. Unifying these technologies
with Oracle Identity Management enables customers to create a common
security policy framework that spans heterogeneous systems and applications,
lowers costs and improves overall enterprise security.
Within this Ecosystem, the integration of MyID
to Oracle Identity Manager is designed to provide customers with
a complete end-to-end identity management solution that delivers
the convenience of user account provisioning along with lifecycle
management of users and their identity credentials that are held
on devices. MyID extends Oracle Identity Manager by providing integration
with smart cards, USB devices, One Time Password (OTP) devices,
biometric technologies, PKI certificate authorities and physical
access control systems.
